- 1 min read
Today, 11 Mar 2026, we had the wonderful opportunity to share about Crafts for Hope with over 30 ladies at the International Baptist Church Singapore. Organised as part of an ongoing English as a Second Language (ESL) programme at the church, it was an afternoon filled with connection, stories, and a shared heart for vulnerable women in Indonesia.
🌴 Beyond the Beauty of Bali
Most people know Bali, but we shared about two other incredible places: Bandung and Malang.
🥛 Bandung: Did you know it's the home of Oatside milk? We gave out mini Oatside packets to help everyone remember this special city.
🌋 Malang: Home to the majestic Mt. Bromo, a famous active volcano.
❤️ Stories of Hope
We shared the journeys of two brave women (not their real names) we support:
💇‍♀️ Tina (Bandung): Rescued from a difficult life in the "Dark Park." After facing deep personal loss, she has found a new beginning and now works in a salon.
🧶 Esther (Malang): After losing her husband during Covid, Esther was left to raise 3 children alone. Thanks to CFH, she now supports her family by creating beautiful crochet handiwork.
🤝 A Community of Support
We were overwhelmed by the response! Instead of a quiz, we opened the floor for questions. We were blessed with:
🛍️ Positive sales of our handmade crafts.
đź’µ Generous money donations.
🧵 New supporters offering to donate fabric!
