Our Local Partners

We work closely with two Indonesian partners, AYU and KITA, to equip the local women with the sewing skills, resources and opportunities needed to build a strong and sustainable future.

AYU SEWING PROJECT

Target Group:  Indonesian mothers with young families facing barriers to working from home.

Many Indonesian mothers struggle in poverty, bound by cultural norms that keep them from working once they are married with children.

AYU (Ah-U), meaning "beautiful" in Javanese, embodies the heart of Ayu Sewing Project. Mothers are empowered to earn a regular income from home. They can now lift their families out of financial hardship and create a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Through the AYU project, mothers with young children can balance their work and family responsibilities. They are given the opportunity to learn a new skill and to build a life filled with hope and possibilities.

KITA DESIGNS

Target Group: At-risk women seeking a path to a new life, having previously faced sexual exploitation and threats.

KITA (Keytah) is an Indonesian pronoun meaning "us"—a term that embraces inclusivity and community.

KITA Designs is a heart-centred, socially conscious non-profit dedicated to providing meaningful employment opportunities to at-risk and oppressed women. Our artisans are not only taught valuable skills, but also receive counseling, encouragement, and prayer, all while working in a safe and supportive environment.

Through this holistic approach, we empower women to regain their dignity, build a sustainable future, and become agents of positive change in their communities.
