This Chinese New Year (CNY) of the Horse saw Crafts for Hope (CFH) galloping ahead to prepare new items for sale at two events: Forerunners Bazaar (6–7 Feb 2026) and IBC’s Missions Conference (7 Feb 2026).

For the first time, our Indonesian ladies also tried their hand at sewing Chinese characters! And what better word to begin with than 福 (Fu / blessing).

For Chinese people everywhere, it is customary to display 福 in their homes and to wish 福 upon others. After several attempts, the ladies finally mastered the Chinese strokes on batik. Praise God that these creations were warmly received by our customers.

📸 Swipe to see some of the ways 福 is proudly displayed at home.

From making batik lanterns to Chinese lettering, the CFH ladies continue to take up the challenge of sewing new creations each year. We thank God for the opportunity to showcase their work and our mission to delegates at both events.
